cops practice shooting on targets, commanded by their instructor — the Los Angeles Police Academy is located in between the Los Angeles River and Dowtown Los Angeles; students ride their bikes and skateboards and walk around the USC campus — USC is a privately funded teaching institution located along Figeroa, North of Exposition Park. A homeless man walks around his belongings on the concrete floor of the Eastern bank of the LA River — he exercises in the morning, oblivious of the cars, freight trains and running waters which surround him.
